Genetic Testing Education Branding and Data Visualization




Objective: The client tasked us with creating a highly functional, eye-catching look and feel to be applied to upcoming genetic testing education print and digital tactics. They wanted a branding direction that would stand out to healthcare professionals by looking beautiful and bright, as opposed to the typical cold information-heavy materials doctors are inundated with. The client had some limitations of not wanting to use any stock imagery/photography and it couldn't look like any of their existing branding.

I approached this challenge with a fresh perspective and created two distinct branding directions. I presented my work directly to the client team and listened closely to their feedback, evolving needs and expectations. After collaborating with the copywriters to create the framework for the content, I set out to apply the branding guidelines and colorful graphic pattern to this compex educational brochure. Under my art direction, Yiji He, an amazing illustrator on my design team, created a sophisticated set of icons that incorporated the pastel colors of the branding.
